NASA SUPER COMPUTER

A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a set of instructions.

Although mechanical examples of computers have existed through much of recorded human history, the first resembling a modern computer were developed in the mid-20th century (1940–1945). The first electronic computers were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers (PC).[1] Modern computers based on tiny integrated circuits are millions to billions of times more capable than the early machines, and occupy a fraction of the space.[2] Simple computers are small enough to fit into a wristwatch, and can be powered by a watch battery. Personal computers in their various forms are icons of the Information Age, what most people think of as a "computer", but the embedded computers found in devices ranging from fighter aircraft to industrial robots, digital cameras, and toys are the most numerous.

The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile, distinguishing them from calculators. The Church–Turing thesis is a mathematical statement of this versatility: any computer with a certain minimum capability is, in principle, capable of performing the same tasks that any other computer can perform. Therefore computers ranging from a personal digital assistant to a supercomputer are all able to perform the same computational tasks, given enough time and storage capacity.

Origins of the Internet

The first recorded description of the social interactions that could be enabled through networking was a series of memos written by J.C.R. Licklider of MIT in August 1962 discussing his "Galactic Network" concept. He envisioned a globally interconnected set of computers through which everyone could quickly access data and programs from any site. In spirit, the concept was very much like the Internet of today. Licklider was the first head of the computer research program at DARPA, 4 starting in October 1962. While at DARPA he convinced his successors at DARPA, Ivan Sutherland, Bob Taylor, and MIT researcher Lawrence G. Roberts, of the importance of this networking concept.

Leonard Kleinrock at MIT published the first paper on packet switching theory in July 1961 and the first book on the subject in 1964. Kleinrock convinced Roberts of the theoretical feasibility of communications using packets rather than circuits, which was a major step along the path towards computer networking. The other key step was to make the computers talk together. To explore this, in 1965 working with Thomas Merrill, Roberts connected the TX-2 computer in Mass. to the Q-32 in California with a low speed dial-up telephone line creating the first (however small) wide-area computer network ever built. The result of this experiment was the realization that the time-shared computers could work well together, running programs and retrieving data as necessary on the remote machine, but that the circuit switched telephone system was totally inadequate for the job. Kleinrock's conviction of the need for packet switching was confirmed.

In late 1966 Roberts went to DARPA to develop the computer network concept and quickly put together his plan for the "ARPANET", publishing it in 1967. At the conference where he presented the paper, there was also a paper on a packet network concept from the UK by Donald Davies and Roger Scantlebury of NPL. Scantlebury told Roberts about the NPL work as well as that of Paul Baran and others at RAND. The RAND group had written a paper on packet switching networks for secure voice in the military in 1964. It happened that the work at MIT (1961-1967), at RAND (1962-1965), and at NPL (1964-1967) had all proceeded in parallel without any of the researchers knowing about the other work. The word "packet" was adopted from the work at NPL and the proposed line speed to be used in the ARPANET design was upgraded from 2.4 kbps to 50 kbps. 5

In August 1968, after Roberts and the DARPA funded community had refined the overall structure and specifications for the ARPANET, an RFQ was released by DARPA for the development of one of the key components, the packet switches called Interface Message Processors (IMP's). The RFQ was won in December 1968 by a group headed by Frank Heart at Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN). As the BBN team worked on the IMP's with Bob Kahn playing a major role in the overall ARPANET architectural design, the network topology and economics were designed and optimized by Roberts working with Howard Frank and his team at Network Analysis Corporation, and the network measurement system was prepared by Kleinrock's team at UCLA. 6

Due to Kleinrock's early development of packet switching theory and his focus on analysis, design and measurement, his Network Measurement Center at UCLA was selected to be the first node on the ARPANET. All this came together in September 1969 when BBN installed the first IMP at UCLA and the first host computer was connected. Doug Engelbart's project on "Augmentation of Human Intellect" (which included NLS, an early hypertext system) at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) provided a second node. SRI supported the Network Information Center, led by Elizabeth (Jake) Feinler and including functions such as maintaining tables of host name to address mapping as well as a directory of the RFC's. One month later, when SRI was connected to the ARPANET, the first host-to-host message was sent from Kleinrock's laboratory to SRI. Two more nodes were added at UC Santa Barbara and University of Utah. These last two nodes incorporated application visualization projects, with Glen Culler and Burton Fried at UCSB investigating methods for display of mathematical functions using storage displays to deal with the problem of refresh over the net, and Robert Taylor and Ivan Sutherland at Utah investigating methods of 3-D representations over the net. Thus, by the end of 1969, four host computers were connected together into the initial ARPANET, and the budding Internet was off the ground. Even at this early stage, it should be noted that the networking research incorporated both work on the underlying network and work on how to utilize the network. This tradition continues to this day.

Computers were added quickly to the ARPANET during the following years, and work proceeded on completing a functionally complete Host-to-Host protocol and other network software. In December 1970 the Network Working Group (NWG) working under S. Crocker finished the initial ARPANET Host-to-Host protocol, called the Network Control Protocol (NCP). As the ARPANET sites completed implementing NCP during the period 1971-1972, the network users finally could begin to develop applications.

In October 1972 Kahn organized a large, very successful demonstration of the ARPANET at the International Computer Communication Conference (ICCC). This was the first public demonstration of this new network technology to the public. It was also in 1972 that the initial "hot" application, electronic mail, was introduced. In March Ray Tomlinson at BBN wrote the basic email message send and read software, motivated by the need of the ARPANET developers for an easy coordination mechanism. In July, Roberts expanded its utility by writing the first email utility program to list, selectively read, file, forward, and respond to messages. From there email took off as the largest network application for over a decade. This was a harbinger of the kind of activity we see on the World Wide Web today, namely, the enormous growth of all kinds of "people-to-people" traffic.

Sedih, lagi lagi sendiri tak berkawan, aku seperti seekor lalat kecil yang terjebak di jaring sepi sang laba laba kesendirian yang senang melihat penderitaanku, menungguku tuk kelelahan dan menyerah hingga di santap oleh kesendirian yang dalam dan membuatku tak mampu lagi bertahan.
Sepi, kelam malam kembali menyiksa kesendirianku, malam malamku seperti tak pernah berakhir, tiupan angin malam yang membisikkan celaan padaku yang sendiri dalam sepi menunggu cahaya fajar yang kan menerangiku dan mengakhiri gelap duniaku. Walau bintang bintang di langit sana temani ku, tapi cahayanya tak seterang sang matahari, bahkan cahaya sang rembulan pun hanya pantulan kecil matahari sehingga tak mampu hangatkan ku dalam dingin malam dan sepiku
Letih dan lelah menunggu ketidakpastian akan hidup yang menanti di depan sana, tak terjangkau mimpi yang telah ku gantungkan di kejauhan langit sana, walau tlah ku berjuang keras dan jatuh bangun tuk dapatkan bahagiaku.
Habis kuatku kini, hingga badan ini hanya tinggal kulit pembungkus tulang, kering dan tak berharga, hingga saat siang datang, aku bagaikan serpihan debu kecil yang tertiup panasnya angin di terik siang.
Perjalanan ku masih panjang, walau dalam kesendirianku kini, ku ingin temukan cahaya itu, semoga dapat ku raih agar hidupku memiliki acuan, beriku sebuah gambaran kebahagiaan nyata, yang belum pernah ku dapatkan

There are many beautiful things that god create for every people in the world, one of them is love, the thing that only heart can feel, the thing that can’t be accept by logical thinking, but pity that many people doesn’t care and even can’t really feel the love itself.
They said that they can feel, they said that they understand what love is and they also have someone to love, but they never really know about what a love really is.
Did they really feel the love? Can they really sacrifice and patient for the love itself? How can they have a relationship for a while and then finally broken only in a short time? Is it really what love is? They said that they are not well connected to their couple; they said that they are not compatible enough to their couple, so why are they accepting the proposal of love itself? They said that they wanted to try, but can a love be tried? Or can a love to be forced to someone?
I believe that love is exist for me, somewhere in this part of the world, I believe that I can’t forced someone to love me and I really don’t think that I wanted to have a try for love, for me, its better to just let it flow and keeping myself patient until I found the person that really loving me, loving me as I am

Aku Masih Terbangun

Hujan tadi sore seakan masih terasa, menyisakan warna basah di jalan yang telah rusak sebagian, ciptakan malam yang dingin bernapaskan hembusan angin yang menusuk tulang.
Aku masih terbangun, tak bisa terpejam walau kucoba, pikiranku masih melayang malam ini,bagaikan seekor kelelawar yang terbang dan seakan tersesat dalam kegelapan mencari cari suara untuk menentukan arah. hanya di temani bintang bintang yang bersinar dan berkelip kelip, entah kelipan itu berartikan bahwa aku tak sendiri atau bahkan melecehkan kesendirianku yang masih belum berakhir sampai malam ini.
Sang bulan tak mau muncul dan terangiku walau hanya sedikit, ia hanya mencoba tuk tetap tersembunyi di balik awan malam yang tersapu oleh angin di langit sana, bagaikan cinta yang tak mau menghampiriku, yang hanya hadir sesaat hingga tak pernah bisa menerangi hatiku.
Aku masih terbangun, memikirkan kesendirianku malam ini, seperti malam malam sebelumnya dan mungkin malam malam lainnya yang akan hadir dalam hidupku.
aku mencari cari suara, untuk menentukan arah jalanku nanti, tapi itu membuat mataku semakin enggan terpejam,
hingga malam ini,

There are many sadness and happiness in this world and people always choose the happiness for their life, that’s a fact because there’s no one wanted to be sad, down and even hurt, but do you believe that there are some sadness that we have to pass before we found our happiness, there are some ordeal to test how fit are people to get a happiness.
Sometimes we think that the happiness itself didn’t worth enough to fight for, think about the struggle that we did are not proper enough to be pay with some sort of happiness that we finally get, but you should believe that the payback is really worth for what you did, because the things that you do will always coming back to yourself.
Maybe we like to say that there are many hard thing in our fight to find our happiness, it doesn’t right because everything that we do will depend to what we think of it, if you think that a job or a task is hard for you, it will be really hard for you to finish, but if you think easy to the job, however hard it is, it will be a piece of cake for you to finish, especially if you do the task with a good mind and a good heart with a sweet smile on your face,
Trust me,
It’s not that hard to find happiness.

apa arti sebenarnya dari kehidupan ? aku ga tau dan mungkin ga akan pernah tau karena kebanyakan darii kehidupanku tersia siakan oleh seseorang di san yang tak pernah hiraukan kehadiranku, aku mencoba tuk selalu ada untuknya, tapi walau dia mulai memiliki jarak dari seseorang di san, dia tak pernah hiraukan aku, bt, pucying, confuse lah, ada sebuah rasa yang terpendam dan tak pernah terbalas olehnya, walau rasa ini memang hanya untuknya seorang.
